Emo tiem lawd in the raaaaaaain

I've learned a valuable lesson.

Watching videos that use journey's end clips is BAD, becuase it makes me cry and miss spoiler.

Can I start saying spoilers again?

This breakdown brought to you by "Hello" by Evanescence:

Don't try to fix me, I'm not broken!
Hello! I'm the lie living for you so you can hide...

Ask me to take pictures of any aspect of my life that you're interested in or curious about. It can be anything from my favorite shirt to my cell mobile phone. Leave your requests as a comment to this entry, and I'll snap the pictures and post them as soon as I can.

There are some things I will not take pictures of. I'll probably post some time between Friday and Monday. It will be f-locked.

666, the number of the crack

So, I was thinking about an idea I had, and my obsession with Midnight. And how weird Midnight is.

And I figured out why Midnight is part of the season. I figured out why the Doctor did what he did in Journey's End.

Serial Killers, Anarchists, and Fangirls

So, I ordered Mr. Brooks through that Pepsi promotion, right? For those of you who don't know, Mr. Brooks is a nice family drama about a serial killer. Yes, a serial killer. I had it sent to my parents, since I'm moving very soon, and they watched it (at my request) before giving it to me. My mother had seen it already and likes it, but dad (acctually stepdad, but whatever), when asked, started ranting in the car about how he can't believe Kevin Costner did that, he doesn't like Kevin Costner anymore, he can't ever forgive him, etc. etc. Talk about not being able to separate IC from OOC.

That got my mom and me talking about, of all people, Heath Ledger! I mentioned to my stepdad how I understood how he felt after Batman. My mom commented that she used to find Heath Ledger hot, until, that is, she saw Brokeback Mountain. I commented that I found him more hot after that (LOL, I really am a slash fangirl), but that I no longer find him attractive after seeing The Dark Knight, becuase his Joker scares the living crap out of me.

On the other hand, I had never found Aaron Eckhart particularly attractive until last week, either, but now... yum.

Anyway. Meme from fandom_memes. A copy and pasteable version of the meme is there.

Because I fail: A meme.

From ariastar

Tell me a canon and I shall respond with my...

1. One True Pairing Ship
2. Canon Ship
3. "If this happens I'll stab my eyes out with a spork" Ship
4. "You are one sick bastard" Ship
5. "I dabble a little" Ship
6. "It's like a car crash" Ship
7. "Tickles my fancy but not sold just yet" Ship
8. "Makes no canon sense but why the Hell not" Ship
9. "Everyone else loves it but I just don't feel it" Ship

RAndom whining.

Well, I was going to go to bed. But now I feel sick. And if I go to bed sick I will associate sick with bed and have trouble with my insomnia again.

I hate my body.

Kira with a fobwatch, lollerskates

I had the strangest dream today.

I dreamed I was Mikami Teru. Or some kind of strange blend of Mikami and Light.

I was in a hotel, a fancy one, and I had to find something or do something... I don't remember. Then I had to drive to another place and make it for a deadline but I couldn't remember what for. I got there, and it was in the mountains, but there were palm trees, I think. Then I was back at my apartment, drinking chocolate rice milk (wtf? I like soy milk) with chunks of rice in it. And I spilled it on a rag in the kitchen. And somehow, this could be used as evidence to prove that I was Kira. So when I heard that the taskforce was coming to my apartment, I called my mom to ask for help on hiding the evidence, and she didn't know what to tell me. Then my boyfriend called me on the phone in the real world, waking me up and scaring me half to death.

While I'm writing, does anyone know if there's a Doctor Who secrets community? There are so many Who secrets on fandomsecrets that I think we really ought to migrate to a specialized comm. That way, it's easier to reply to people and keep track of threads.

And now the slow season.

So, it looks like it's the slow season for my blog right now.

Doctor Who is over until December. I've finished watching the Death Note Anime... still working on the manga, but not very fast, thanks to my classes. There are my two big fandoms right there. I mean, I've still got Code Geass, but frankly, I'm a little intimidated by its fandom. And there are my other fandoms but... if I do post about them, it'll be in friends-locked entries. Also, ariastar's big Who fic, dwseason5, is done, so I don't really have anything to read either. And Dr. Horrible is now iTunes only... and since I'm broke and don't have iTunes anyway, looks like I'm waiting for the DVD.

(It occurs to me that I haven't done a proper recommendation of Doctor Who Season 5 yet. A while back I did a Doctor Who meme, in which I recommended dwseason4. Season 4 was an "alternate season" project, taking off from the end of the third season of Doctor Who and addressing the plot problems therein with the "next" season. It was wonderfully done. This year, after the nightmare that was Season 4, ariastar, the author, wrote dwseason5, the same thing to season 4--a sequel that wraps up the loose ends of seasons 3 and 4, not in the same continuity as her alternate 4, but the real one. It's just finished tonight and it's wonderful stuff: check out dwseason5 today!)

So what do I blog about now?

Pretzels. Pretzels are good. Healthy, low fat, and scrumptious.

Seriously, expect to see a lot of memes in the next few months.

Emo supervillains and jerkass heroes?

so, I just watched Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog, and while I'm not sure what to make of the whole thing, but holy crap it was fantastic.

Or maybe I'm analyizing too much. Damn my major; I'll never be able to just watch something again.

Anyway, go out and watch it! It's funny, it's brilliant, and it's kind of poignant, if a bit flawed or oversimplified in some spots. Watch it Now! It's online until tomorrow.
